Grace After School Program (GASP)

What is GASP?

​

GASP provides service is available to children and youth of all ethnic groups.  Youth and children disconnected from parent(s), i.e.  youth and children in foster care and of incarcerated parents are included in the population serviced by GASP.   GASP targeted age groups are children and youth between seven (7) and eighteen (18) years old.  employing) college students, who served as interns. GASP provided learning experience for high school students who served in voluntary capacity. 

Operates September - June

3:00pm – 6:00pm Monday through Friday

  • Serving children in grades K through 12

  • Providing activity in out of school hours

  • Incorporate “youth voice” and youth leadership in program development, operation and evaluation.

  • Community-based service project that significantly increased the presence and power of youth voices within Mount Vernon Community
