We invite you to our Freedom Summer site to Read Aloud to eager ears and inquisitive eyes that beams with excitement in anticipation of a story ending as it unfolds. Freedom Summer Read Aloud is a teaching tool which teaches the scholars that regardless of what it is they choose to be in life, READING is involved.  We invite teachers, doctors, lawyers, fire fighters, law enforcement, cosmetologist, as well as manager from McDonald’s, and an array of other occupations from the community. These community volunteers can Read Aloud a favorite book, a story, a poem or we provide stories with a moral to it for our partners to read. Scholars also get to ask questions and interact with the reader.
