Ujamaa CDC developed and implemented the Grace After School and Learning Center (GASP) Program to provide services to underserves children and youth from low income families in Mount and surrounding communities. GASP provide evidence - based year round program activities that support children and youth from low income families within Mount Vernon community. GASP has successfully serve children, youth and families since 2011, providing after school programming during the school year and a six (6) weeks summer camp. GASP provide a safe learning environment that supported youth experiences which promote positive self-identity and commitment to educational excellence.
